A major reason for having guests visit Prakash is to create lasting and beneficial relationships with our staff. It is such an encouragement for the staff to know that you are all out there, caring and praying for them. I know from Verna and Ron’s reactions and tears that they too have been blessed.
One of the ways we accomplish this is to have meals in some of the staff homes.
In order for this to not bea burden financially, Loren always makes sure to compensate the staff member. The experience, is our aim and desire for the guests. We were able to take Verna and Ron to several different homes so they could get to know each family individually. Each has it’s own personality and let me tell you, curry is NOT just curry…such variety. Verna was constantly taking pictures of her plate of food. A neat way to remember what specialties you have eaten.
Just to add icing to the cake, we planned a night out for all executive staff and their mates at Chokar Dhani.
We kept it a surprise for Verna and Ron. Ron does not like surprises, but has decided mine are not so bad. They had no idea it was a Rajasthan mini theme park. The squeals of delight could be heard throughout the park when Verna finally realized what was happening. After a wonderful dinner, where we all had to sit on the floor,
to the delight of the staff…Ron, Verna, and ME too, were persuaded to dance on stage with the dancers.
There are also magicians, (not Loren)
fire-eaters, blade dancers, etc. But best of all was the one-on-one time spent with staff in such a relaxed and fun environment.
Thank you again for your prayers and support
